Speaking to KT Radio, PSF spokesperson Hunde Walter said: “Anyone who wants to buy Expo tickets using MTN by dialling *182*3*3# and following the instructions should use Airtel by dialling *182 *3*4# and following the instructions.

Hunde said that when a person receives a message showing that he has purchased a ticket, he will immediately save it and show it at the entrance of Expo 2024, as long as he arrives there before the exhibition closes on August 15, 2024.

Children between four (4) and 16 years old are charged Frw500 and adults are charged Frw1,000.

Hunde said buying a ticket before arriving at his destination would cause him to wait longer to see if it was the right ticket, rather than standing at the gate he was going to buy, a behavior that could lead to more people lining up at the gate causing congestion and immigration delays.

Hunde said Expo 2024 could welcome 15,000 to 20,000 visitors per day on weekdays and 40,000 to 45,000 visitors per day on weekends.

This is based on a large number of suppliers from both home and abroad having registered more than 100% as of Thursday, July 25, 2024, with only a few hours left before the opening of Expo 2024.

He said 795 booths have been fully paid for and more than 40 booths have applied for new booths.

A PSF spokesperson said that when COVID-19 hit, the percentage of paid sites was about 15%, and by 2023, that percentage had reached 65%.

Hunde said there were about 8,000 buyers when the lot was taken at 15 per cent, so now he expects the number of buyers to more than triple.

He advises those who have time to come early and not wait until the evening so that it is not difficult to go home or take a walk in the tunnel at night.

People who come to visit, even if a person does not buy anything to go home, the next time he becomes a buyer and gets to know the factory because he met the owner at the exhibition.

Hunde expects exhibitors to reduce prices by 10%-20% as usual and is asked to bring in more products so that customers don’t lose them.
