Limassol police are investigating a kiosk robbery involving a 27-year-old man, for whom an arrest warrant is expected to be issued.
According to police, the robbery took place at 23:35 last night. According to the complaint and information under investigation, a young male, half-naked from the waist up, entered a kiosk and began to grab products from the shelves, some of which he had his pants down.
When the man tried to leave the kiosk, staff locked the door to prevent theft. The 27-year-old then allegedly attacked him and hit him with a plastic stick. He then managed to open the door and allegedly stole three cartons of cigarettes from the shelf next to the cash register as he left.
Police officers have arrived at the scene to investigate. Through subsequent investigation and interrogation, a statement from a 27-year-old man was obtained and an arrest warrant is expected to be issued for him.
