A statement from the hospital administration received by Al-Sumaria News said: “The medical team of the Digestive and Liver Teaching Hospital of the Medical City performed a laparoscopic operation to remove a foreign object (a toothbrush) from the stomach of a patient. The 30-year-old patient had swallowed it by mistake.”
“The removal of the foreign body was performed laparoscopically, without surgical intervention or anesthesia, and was successful,” the statement said.
