Hassan Shakush apologizes to Tunisia and promises world record-breaking party

Shakoush apologized too late after insulting the Tunisian people, and despite calls from the Music Profession Syndicate for several days, he did not publicly apologize until he was referred for investigation on Tuesday.

Hassan Shakoush appeared in a “live” video through his Instagram account and said: “Good evening, respected Tunisian people, I am going out now, according to what I posted on the scene. In the past few days, I was hurting the Tunisian people.”

He continued: “I cannot harm the Tunisian people, my family, my people and of course green Tunisia and beautiful artistic Tunisia, of course I cannot harm them.”

Shakush quoted his Tunisian friends as saying: “My closest Tunisian friends know that Hassan loves Tunisia very much. The first thing they told me was that at a party in Tunisia, I swear to God Almighty, I picked up my bag and ran away because I love this country.”

Hassan Shakoush called on the Tunisian people not to misunderstand him, especially after the video in which he came out to express his rejection of the reception there.

“I hope no one misunderstood me from the last video, if I was not nice to the Tunisian people, I cannot offend them because this is my second country,” he said.

He continued: “I want to apologize to all the Tunisian people, I say to them, ‘You are above me, I can’t hurt any of you, big or small, you know how much Hassan loves you. I hope you accept my apology and God willing, the first visit will be to Tunisia and we will have a party strong enough to break the world.’ “I promise you that the strongest party will be in Tunisia. I hope no one is upset with me based on the video I posted, I feel sad for all of you.”

Recently, in a video clip of a recent trip to Tunisia for a private concert, Hassan Shakush complained about the treatment of artists at the Tunis airport and stressed that he would not go to Tunisia for a concert until then. The crisis was resolved and the procedures for artists at the airport were expedited.

Shakush’s speech sparked outrage among the Egyptian and Tunisian people, with the Music Professionals Association calling on the singer to apologize and respect the Tunisian people and the brotherly relations between the two countries, but festival performers ignored the matter until it had been referred for investigation.

Sources from the Music Professionals Association reported in a press statement on Monday evening that the Mahraganat singer has one last chance to submit an official video apology to the Tunisian people, after which the investigation will be cancelled and the performances suspended. If Hassan Shakush does not submit this video, he will be dismissed from his position and the investigation will take place on a specified date on Tuesday.

Shakush later apologized to the Tunisian people for what he had done, saying his words had been misunderstood, that he loved “Green Tunisia,” and that he promised to host a big party during his first visit to the country.
