Haiti – Perspectives: 8th Writing and Reporting Competition

The Citizen Protection Agency launched the 8th Human Rights Writing and Reporting Competition on the occasion of International Human Rights Day.
Category A (Journalists, optional subject):
– How can the media contribute to improving Haiti’s external image and promoting national culture?
– Conduct multimedia reporting or write articles on human rights issues.
formalities:
– No pre-registration is required to participate in the competition
– Sound or video audio media: 3 to 5 minutes
– Recommendation letters or press credentials affected
Category B students (optional one subject):
– Provide concrete explanations of how corruption hinders the enjoyment of economic, social and cultural rights.
– How can we effectively support Haiti in its fight against gender-based violence?
– Introduce the general principles developed by the High Commissioner for the Protection of Human Rights (UNHCR) to refugees in times of war and migrant flows.

– No pre-registration is required to participate in the competition
– Letter of recommendation or student ID
Category C (school children), optional subjects:
– “Young people, read… Read to educate yourself, to learn to be better than we are”, said Dr. Jean Price Mars. This quote emphasizes the importance of reading in training, which is civic education for young people and children.
– How can children contribute to the elimination of discrimination and violence in Haitian society?
– Why should we fight for respect for human dignity everywhere and in all circumstances?
formalities:
– No pre-registration is required to participate in the competition
– Participants must be students from secondary 3 to philosophy or from NS1 to NS4.
– A letter of recommendation from the school you are attending or an ID card proving your school membership.
Instructions to be followed
1. The works of the contestants must be original and the source of the works must be indicated;
2. The text must be written in French or Creole;
3. The required format of the text is as follows:
– Front text only
– Times New Roman
– Police: 12
– Rank: 1.5
– 8 1/2 x 11 pieces;
4. Number of pages of text: 2 to 4 pages;
