Prime Minister’s speech on the canal
“I saw, heard, understood and received messages of complaints and hopes from farmers, investors and some northeastern youths,” said Prime Minister Gary Corneille after inspecting the Wanaminte irrigation canal construction site. “The government will work to increase production in the Maribaru Plains and start the construction of the René Theodore Agricultural Technical High School in Wanaminte to contribute to increasing agricultural income.”

Issue 34: 750 Police Officers
On Sunday, August 25, 2024, more than 750 aspiring police officers, including 213 women, or 28.4%, joined the National Police School as the 34th class of the Haitian National Police (PNH). Selected from thousands of candidates, these future officers began months of training before joining their colleagues in the field to strengthen the fight against insecurity. In June 2024, 455 officers were assigned to specialized units.

Taiwan steps up rice production in Haiti

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss processes and preparations related to the National Conference, constitutional reform and the organization of general elections in the country.

Cap-Haïtien: Port works vital to economy

Reception at the French Residence
On Friday, August 23, 2024, at the French Embassy in Haiti, Ambassador Fabrice Morieux organized a reception to bid farewell to partners and friends of the French Embassy in Haiti. The Ambassador thanked his partners, Ambassador Dahomey in Paris, and all the Embassy colleagues who left Haiti this summer. The Ambassador praised the courage of the Haitian people, despite the difficulties and security crisis.
