France: Views on sanctions against Haiti
“International sanctions are imposed because of impunity in Haiti,” said Fabrice Morieux, the French ambassador to Haiti, at the end of his visit. The diplomat believes that sanctions will be more effective if they are followed by national legal proceedings against those who have been sanctioned. He believes that impunity in Haiti is the result of the inefficiency of the Haitian judicial system.

This collaboration will notably allow the organization of nationwide competitions for the selective admission of young people from diverse backgrounds into the diplomatic field. It will also optimize the management of international scholarships and strengthen the Academy’s representation in the provinces.
