New Haitian Consul in Orlando
The Consulate of Haiti in Orlando notified the Haitian community that Nedgie Phanord Jean Baptiste is the new consul and that she is open to all suggestions for developing better policies to engage with the Haitian community.
CEP Stands for: Deadline
The Presidential Transition Council (CPT) said it will continue to work tirelessly and will respect the announced deadline of August 28, 2024, to complete the process of appointing the members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP). The CPT noted that the formation process of the CEP has been delayed due to disputes between some organizations in the same sector and the non-compliance of other organizations with the terms of reference sent to them. The CPT approved the sectors that have not yet done so. The additional period ends on Monday, August 26, 2024 Notify their elected representatives.
New French Ambassador
The Embassy of Haiti in France had the honor of receiving a courtesy visit from the new French Ambassador to Haiti, Antoine Michon, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Prime Minister’s Northern Tour
Prime Minister Gary Cornely, accompanied by members of the diplomatic corps, will begin a visit to the Northern Province from Thursday, August 22 to August 24. The visit reflects the government’s efforts to promote regional development and strengthen relations with local stakeholders. Cornely plans to meet with regional officials and economic stakeholders to discuss priority areas for the Northern Province.
Arrested in murder of three young missionaries

Basketball: Christ-Roi wins Super 8 tournament
The Haitian Basketball Federation successfully organized the Super 8 Championship for young people under 20 years old, which was held in August at 33 Delmas, Parc Saint-Clair. The Christ-Roi team won the trophy in a one-sided victory over the Power Vikings team (73-52) in the final.
