French ambassador ends mission
On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, the Presidential Transition Council (CPT) held a departure ceremony for the French Ambassador to Haiti, Fabrice Moriès, at the Villa d’Accueil, to end his mission. Ambassador Moriès stressed the very close ties of friendship between Haiti and France, which have been strengthened in several areas during his tenure. He also highlighted that his successor will announce next week new directions for French cooperation, especially in the area of security.
