700 young qualified professionals
On Friday, July 19, 2024, Viva Rio awarded certificates to more than 700 young people who successfully completed training in plumbing and solar energy as part of the “Temporary Social Safety Net and Skills for Young People” program initiated by the government and implemented by Viva Rio with financial support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

CEP Representative Selection Moving Forward
The formation of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) is gradually becoming clearer. Several sectors have submitted their lists of representatives to the Presidential Transition Council (CPT). This is especially true of the Reformist Cults Sector (Peterson Pierre-Louis), the Voodoo Sector (Me Newton Louis Saint-Juste) and the University Council (Franck Charles). 800 police officers get first-time bonus
The Ministry of Justice and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday, July 19. Justice Minister Carlos Hercule said the agreement aims to provide a first-time entry bonus to some 800 officers promoted to the 33rd Haitian National Police (PNH) as part of the Joint Police Support Program.

7 D1 clubs at risk of exclusion
Seven D1 clubs have not yet received a D1 license. They must complete the documentation and meet the 14 criteria required to exclude penalties by August 15, 2024. The clubs concerned are: Racing Club Haïtien, Cosmopolites, Racing FC des Gonaïves, Baltimore SC, Union sportif Rivartibonitienne, Arcahie FC and Triomphe FC.
