After being discharged from the hospital and before meeting his relatives, Cornelli said in a video lasting just over four minutes that he was “in good condition, thanks to the grace of God (…) I am publishing this video to assure you that I am fine” and promised that his Cabinet would be finalized this week (a meeting with members of the Presidential Transition Council (CPT) is scheduled for Monday, June 10, to finalize the Cabinet).
“Last night I felt a little unwell, it could have been serious, but thank God my security team rushed me to the hospital where a team of the most qualified doctors took care of me.” The Prime Minister took the opportunity to reflect on the state of health infrastructure in Haiti amid the current crisis.
