Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers on Monday robbed and killed a businessman in his office opposite Ekeki Motor Park in Yenagoa.
The businessman, named as Cletus, was allegedly followed to his office in the early hours of the morning and stabbed multiple times in the head until he died.
The attackers allegedly left with an undisclosed amount of money, mobile phones and a Highlander Jeep parked opposite the office.
When the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent arrived at the scene, he saw neighbours mourning him.
His body was found by workers recovering the damage.
The deceased was said to be in his late fifties, a quiet businessman, who had other businesses in the metropolis.
According to NAN, the spokesman of the Bayelsa State Police Command, Musa Mohammed, said investigation into the matter has begun.
