Forget the weather, it’s time to light up the “Barbie” – Who Can you resist this Guinness Burger recipe?

The word hamburger originates from the German city of Hamburg, where beef from Hamburg cattle is minced and formed into patties to make Hamburg steaks… but where, of course, does the best beef and beer in the world come from? Ireland, of course.

Well, while it’s not spring yet, it won’t be long before folks in the US and Ireland start dusting off their grills, grabbing their tongs and spatulas and kicking off the summer grilling season. And hey, it’s summer in Australia!

To welcome the arrival of barbecue season, Ireland’s number one tourist attraction, Guinness Storehouse, will launch some summer Guinness-flavored recipes to make more people fall in love with barbecue.

Here’s the recipe for the Guinness Beef Burger straight from Chef Justin O’Connor of the Storehouse.

2 pounds ground beef

50 ml Guinness Foreign Extra Stout

1 ounce breadcrumbs

A little Tabasco sauce

Chopped fresh thyme sprigs

Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce

salt and pepper

method

– Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Do not over mix.

– Shape into desired size. Grill on both sides.

To get grilling season off to the right start, Guinness Ireland’s number one tourist attraction, the Storehouse, is giving visitors some much-needed love with some Guinness-inspired summer recipes.

Guinness Beef Burgers Recipe

raw material

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 50 ml Guinness Foreign Extra Stout
  • 1 ounce breadcrumbs
  • A little Tabasco sauce
  • Chopped fresh thyme sprigs
  • Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper

method

Whisk all ingredients in a bowl until well combined.

Do not over-mix.

Moulded to desired size.

Grill both sides.
