As a notable move to strengthen cultural ties, the China-Cambodia co-produced documentary “Hello Cambodia” premiered in Phnom Penh on August 5.

The film, co-produced by China’s Guangxi Radio and Television and Cambodia’s National Television (TVK) from July 8 to 13, follows 13 young journalists from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as they explore the cultural treasures of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
Cambodian Information Minister Nipathra highlighted the role of the documentary in celebrating the Cambodia-China Year of People-to-People Exchange in 2024, noting that it showcases the cultural traditions of the two countries and reflects the aspirations of the younger generation.

The documentary will be broadcast on Guangxi Radio and Television, TVK TV and its social media platforms, aiming to enhance understanding and connections between the peoples of China and Cambodia.

TVK general manager Kim Vudi said the documentary will allow Chinese audiences to get a closer look at Cambodian culture, promote more interactions and highlight the benefits of the Cambodia-China partnership. Piketra expressed hope that the documentary will deepen bilateral exchanges and inspire cultural cooperation.
