An anaesthetist was convicted of sexually touching a pregnant patient. He was sentenced to four years in prison and banned from practising for five years.
Investigations conducted could determine that she was not the only one to suffer these sexual assaults.
But beyond that, the men working at the university hospital have Algerian diplomas, which have no equivalent in France.
The 48-year-old assistant anaesthetist attacked women who came to consult about pregnancy or abortion.
He was not a gynecologist by any means, but he allowed himself to examine their private parts and sometimes caress them.
As he missed the hearing, he was sentenced in absentia to four years’ imprisonment and banned from practicing law for five years.
He must also pay €10,000 in damages to the civil parties.
