A 78-year-old man was seriously injured in a car accident in Gozo on Sunday evening.
Police said the accident took place at around 10pm in Triq L-Imgarr in Ghajnsielem.
The accident occurred after a BMW X5 driven by a 19-year-old man from Gainsilem collided with a Mitsubishi Pajero driven by a 78-year-old man from Galb, which subsequently overturned the latter’s car.
Also in the Mitsubishi was an 83-year-old woman, also from Galb.
Medical teams provided first aid at the scene before taking the driver and passenger of the Mitsubishi to Gozo General Hospital. The male driver was diagnosed with serious injuries and the female driver was diagnosed with minor injuries.
The police are conducting further investigations.
