President Myriam Spiteri Debono on Thursday evening acknowledged the selfless and noble act of the blood donors while expressing her desire to foster a culture of regular blood donation in the area, especially among the youths.
The President stressed that regular blood donations can reduce instances of blood shortages and the need for emergency requests when needed to save lives and contribute to people’s treatment.
To mark the special occasion, President Myriam Spiteri Debono was presented with a souvenir that was entirely handmade by young people attending the day centre at the Agenzija Sapport Ghajnsielem Learning Centre in Gozo, with the help of artist Charlie Camilleri.
