A 68-year-old man from Xewkija was seriously injured on Thursday morning after falling about 10 feet while working in a reservoir in a field on Gozo.
Police said the accident occurred at around 9:30 a.m. in Triq Madonna tal-Hniena in Xewkija.
The medical team provided first aid to the man at the scene and then sent him to Gozo General Hospital on the island of Gozo, where he was diagnosed with serious injuries.
Magistrate Brigitte Sultana is leading an investigation.
Police are still investigating.
