A 61-year-old Gozotan motorcyclist was seriously injured in a road accident in Cirkewwa on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the accident occurred in Triq il-Marfa around 4:30 p.m.
The motorcyclist, from Zebuji, was riding a Honda motorcycle when he crashed into the safety barrier.
Medical teams administered first aid to the man at the scene before taking him to Mater Dei Hospital where he was diagnosed with serious injuries.
Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici has assigned officers to investigate the case.
Police are still investigating.
According to social media posts, the accident paralyzed traffic in the area and vehicles on the Gozo Channel ferry were unable to be unloaded.
