The updated proposal covers the development of two sites in central Victoria, starting with a 22,000 square metre urban regeneration project in the centre.
Central to the vision, the GRDA said, is the transformation of the area where the current car park is located into green open space accessible to all, while a football pitch and underground carparking will be built to accommodate about 280 vehicles. Victoria Playground and the bus terminal will also be upgraded.
The second site covers Great Siege Squareit is proposed to transform the existing area into a multi-storey car park, supplemented by green open space.
