Left-wing think tank Zminijietna said it wanted the BCRS to “show the public how to improve its operating system”.
“To date, the system has not met people’s expectations. In a fast-paced and busy environment, people demand greater efficiency, especially when they themselves are contributing to a better environment,” the report states.
Zminijietna continued: “The company should explore the possibility of bringing in some on-site staff to alleviate the problem of time wasted waiting for personnel to empty the machines. Also, more machines need to be installed.”
The report states, “Official data shows that approximately 204 million beverage containers were recycled through the BCRS in 2023. This is a positive step for both the circular economy and the environment.”
