Governor-General congratulates Dame Elaine Major on her 100th birthday

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Governor General, His Excellency Sir Cornelius A. Smith, attended a special reception for Dame Elaine AV Major, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. The Governor presented her with a special letter and a bouquet of flowers at the celebration held at Crypto Isle (formerly Luciano’s East Bay Street). The Honourable Glenys Hanna-Martin, Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational Training, delivered a congratulatory speech. Also in attendance were the Honourable Wayne Munroe, Minister of National Security, the Honourable Pia Glover Rolle, Minister of State for the Public Service, and Wayde Watson, Parliamentary Secretary to the Department of Economic Affairs.
