EL NUEVO DIARIO, Santo Domingo – President Luis Abinader inaugurated this Saturday in the province of Santo Domingo five projects, including schools and apartments, that will benefit students and residents of the Los Alcarrizos, La Zulza, Los Tres Brazos and Guerra districts.
According to reports, through the delivery of these works, the President seeks to contribute to the development of these areas in the province of Santo Domingo, allowing families to achieve significant changes and real development in their lives.
With the delivery of schools and high schools, the President also contributed to the advancement of education by providing comfortable and adequate educational centers so that students can receive a good education, while with the delivery of apartments, he allowed families to have a roof under which they can live in a comfortable and dignified manner.

Rafael Kasse Acta Elementary School and Facundo Lavatta Ramírez Elementary School
The first activity of the day for the President was the inauguration of two primary schools, Rafael Kasse Acta.
and Facundo Lavata Ramirez.
In these two schools (one with 27 classrooms and the other with 6), approximately 1,100 boys and girls from Los Alcarrizos and the communities of Chavón, La Cereza, Los Coquitos, Barrio Landia and Progreso 1 will be impacted by quality education.

Lazuerza Residential Area
The Head of State then inaugurated the new La Zulza residential complex, designed for families living near the Isabela River and victims in the area.
It is understood that the work carried out by CAASD will benefit 3,500 residents in the community. It includes 9 four-story buildings, each with 8 apartments, a total of 72 apartments. These buildings are equipped with drinking water, electricity, parking and children’s play areas, and are fully equipped.

Insured delivery to Los Tres Bazos School
President Abinader continued his inaugural agenda with the delivery of the roof of the Domingo Moreno Jiménez School located in the Los Tres Brazos district in the Municipality of Santo Domingo del Este.
The government invested R$30.18 million in infrastructure development, which is the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, to benefit 750 students in educational centers and to serve the community.
The work features a metal structure supported by a reinforced concrete base, LED lighting, aluminum-zinc ceilings, synthetic flooring, a movable basketball hoop and bleachers.
Speaking at the center, Oscar Amagos, Undersecretary for Education Quality Monitoring, Evaluation and Control, said that this work is part of a plan for such infrastructure that was decided last year at the request of students, and the President welcomed and ordered the implementation of the rooftop plan for 158 rooftops that have this facility.

UASD Experimental High School, Marcos del Rosario, Prados de la Cana
President Abinader’s activities culminated this Saturday with the inauguration of the UASD Experimental High School in Prados de la Cana, Guerra.
This is a secondary experimental high school with 26 classrooms, 3 laboratories, a smart classroom, a library, a sports field and a multi-purpose room.
In his speech, UASD Rector Ediltrudis Beltrán said that the binomial of UASD plus the state equals the Experimental High School, the Extension Project and the University City, which he assured is considered the perfect formula for the development of the state.
He maintained that this was the seventh experimental high school to be completed in the country.
In attendance were Igor Rodríguez, Secretary of Administration of the Presidency; Governor Julia Deluard; Dío Astacio, Mayor of Santo Domingo del Este; Alberto Rodríguez, Director of the National Sports Institute, and Fernando Taveras, Director of Maintenance of School Infrastructure.
There were also representatives Jesús Sánchez and Alexis Jiménez, and INABI Director Juan isidro Grullón.
Also present were Rafael Santos, director of the Transport Restructuring Office (OPRET); Juan Ysidro Grullón, from the Institute of Assistance and Housing; Rolfi Rojas, president of the Presidential Commission for Support to Community Development; Martín Robles, administrator of the Dominican Electricity Transmission Company (ETED); and Faride Raful, senator from Edeeste, Manuel Mejía Naut and the National District.
