Prime Minister Iván Gil has condemned a new “fascist” attack on Rome’s Sacred Hill, where a sacred monument to liberator Simón Bolívar was vandalized.
«Fascism has once again attacked and vandalized the sacred monument to the liberator Simón Bolívar, located on the Sacred Hill of Rome; 219 years after this beautiful oath, they are still afraid of the power of the anti-colonial and anti-imperialist spirit that will always triumph among our peoples,» Gil wrote on his Telegram channel.
Likewise, he thanked the authorities of the Rome Mayor’s Office for their “timely efforts to preserve and restore such an important space, a symbol of the struggle for freedom.”
