This research paper briefly explains the two main aspects of greeting the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) based on the Hadith tradition:

a- A single greeting (salam) was conveyed to the illustrious Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in various ways, which shows that there is no real contradiction between the textual evidence that claims that he heard the greeting directly and those that clearly show that the angels conveyed the greeting to him.

b- The Great Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) heard greetings from far and near and responded to them personally.
