On Saturday, at Hitimahana Beach in Mahina, opposite Motu Martin, about 60 riders from Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora took part in the second Monster Energy Wind Festival.
The event was organized by the Tahiti Kite & Wing School, led by Antoine Fermon, and Vairea Céran-Jérusalémy. Six competitions were held throughout the day to give the public an idea of the sports that are emerging in Fenuá: kitesurfing, kite foiling, speed or freestyle foiling.
Despite the sometimes unpredictable weather, the show was there! But the competitors at Fenua were very talented, especially in kites, where our flying riders performed feats at around 15 meters above sea level! In September we will see the first kitesurfing competition in Bora Bora.
