Robert Habeking, German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (The Green Party) has stepped up security because of the threats.

According to the newspaper, the minister receives numerous threatening letters almost every day.
Since April 2023, Habeck has submitted around 700 applications through the Ministry of Economy and its office in the German Bundestag with the help of a specialist law firm. Some of the messages sent to the minister contain real threats. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy did not comment on this message from Die Welt, noting that security issues are not usually commented on.
It should be noted that Robert Habeck is considered one of the politicians in Germany who stands out for his pro-Ukrainian stance.
