Libreville, Wednesday, June 19, 2024 (Gabon News) – On Wednesday, June 19, the French Ambassador to Gabon, Alexis Lameck, was received in Libreville by the Gabonese Head of State, Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema.

As part of the inter-state cooperation, the Gabonese head of state met yesterday at the Seaside Palace with the Ambassador and High Representative of the French Republic to the Gabonese Republic. It was revealed that the exchanges between General Blaise Clotaire Origi Nguema and Alexis Lamecke were mainly centered around the recent official visit of the President of the Republic to France.

His activities have been very active, notably his participation in the Gabon-France Economic Forum, a series of meetings with French entrepreneurs and investors, direct exchanges with the Gabonese diaspora and fruitful face-to-face exchanges with his French counterparts.

Let us recall that these meetings enabled the two Heads of State and their delegations to redefine the contours of mutually beneficial diplomatic and economic cooperation through investment that creates jobs and wealth for both sides.

The head of state also discussed environmental, security, diplomatic and historical issues with Alexis Lameck. The French diplomat took the opportunity to reiterate France’s desire to support the protection of the Gabonese forest, which represents one of the green lungs of the planet, and to recognize France in memory of Captain Njoré, who, at the risk of his life, heroically defended France. Life.

It should be noted that at the end of this meeting, both persons expressed satisfaction with the new dynamics of cooperation that connects the two countries, which revisits, renews and focuses on the economic field, job creation and the environment.

The good relations between Libreville and Paris date back decades and are valued by the authorities of both countries.
