According to recent opinion polls, support Two-State Solution That’s nearly doubled since December, from 35% to 62%.
The poll was conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR) from March 5 to 10 in areas of the West Bank and Gaza Strip “where there is no ongoing daily fighting.”

Palestinians divided over establishment of Palestinian state
The data also shows that support for armed resistance as the best means of establishing a Palestinian state has dropped significantly from a peak in December.
In December, support for armed resistance was 63% in the Palestinian territories, 68% in the West Bank, and 56% in the Gaza Strip.
The latest opinion polls show that support for armed resistance is 46% in the Palestinian territories, 51% in the West Bank, and 39% in the Gaza Strip.
The West Bank and Gaza Strip are divided over alternatives to armed resistance, although support for armed resistance has declined in both.
West Bank shows Increase support for negotiations This increased from 18% in December 2023 to 27% in March 2024; despite the increase, this number is still lower than support for West Bank negotiations in September 2022 (32%).
In the Gaza Strip, support for peaceful popular resistance increased from 19% in December 2023 to 27% in March 2024. Support for negotiations followed closely at 23%.
Overall, support for different approaches to establishing a Palestinian state in the Gaza Strip remains stable, with the only major change being a drop in support for armed resistance in March 2024.
In the West Bank, however, perceptions of different approaches to establishing a Palestinian state have changed rapidly and radically from survey to survey.
Support for negotiations, peaceful popular resistance, and armed resistance (32%, 24%, and 35%, respectively) shifted from a relatively even distribution in September 2022 to a peak in support for armed resistance in December 2023 (68%).
While support for armed resistance had dropped to 51% by March 2024, support for other solutions remained uneven, with support for peaceful resistance at just 12% and support for negotiations at 27%.
