Why are Palestinians in Gaza angry at Hamas?
Hamas leaders are holed up in tunnels, while residents above ground face severe devastation and lack of basic necessities, including food and water. These supplies are stored in UNRWA warehouses but have not been delivered to people. Photos circulated showed angry residents looting a warehouse in Khan Yunis. One resident wrote in a local Telegram group: “What corruption! We are a family of four refugees and it is difficult to find or buy food.
“The UNRWA representative refused to provide us with aid. The police told the representative that it was forbidden to distribute aid,” said another resident. “UNRWA is destroying our lives just like it did to the Jews.”
