Libreville, Thursday, August 29, 2024 (Gabon News) – Through a press release made public last Tuesday, the Minister of Justice and Lord Privy Seal ordered the immediate imprisonment of Erwan Bradyn Siadou Ropono and Christ Anderson Nounamo, accused of the murder of Miss Michelle Dorothy Ngua.

Paul Marie Gunjut also instructed the Inspectorate General of the Judicial Service to conduct a preliminary investigation to determine the responsibilities of each person in the matter. “The Minister of Justice, the Lord Chancellor, cannot allow this situation to continue, which is intolerable and unacceptable, and he ordered the Attorney General to take all legal measures to immediately imprison the two persons involved,” the press release said.

The two suspected murderers, aged 16 and 17, were granted provisional release by the investigating judge on December 22, 2023, just four months after they confessed to the murder of Miss Michelle Dorethée Ngoua. Ironically, this order for the provisional release of the suspects was confirmed on April 25 by the Libreville Court of Appeal, thus rejecting the appeal filed by the prosecutor.

Remember, on August 8, 2023, the body of Ms. Michelle Dorothée Ngoua was found dead in the Sosiga district, second district of the city of Libreville, having been raped.
