Jornades para l’excellence will host its last edition in Andorra for the third consecutive year, thanks to the strong relationship that already exists between the organization of this event in the Pyrenees and the Andorran Government. This year, the conference focuses on the future of young people in the Pyrenees and Andorra, aiming to identify the common challenges facing young people and to analyse the initiatives being taken at different European levels to address these challenges.
More specifically, a round table will be held next September 19 at 7:00 pm at the Fontetes de la Massana, with the participation of Matías Rubio, member of the Youth Advisory Board of the European Commission; d’Idoia Arauzo, Coordinator of the Development and Revitalization Department of the Pyrenean Working Communities (CTP); author Lisa Cruz, President of the Andorran Youth Forum; and Anton Òdena, co-founder and CEO of Montpackers.com.
The aim of this preparatory session is for Matías Rubio to give a comparative analysis of the challenges facing young people in Europe and to explain the European Commission’s initiatives for this group. Idoia Arauzo will review the challenges facing young people in the Pyrenees from the perspective of the Pyrenean working community. Lisa Cruz will focus on the main difficulties and opportunities for Andorran youth. Finally, Anton Odena will talk about professional initiatives and entrepreneurship in Andorra. After the presentations, there will be a symposium with the speakers.
The event will be opened by the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports of the Andorran Government, Alain Cabanes, and the Consul General of La Massana, Eva Sansa, and closed by the President of Andorra, Jesús Montoliu. A day for excellence.
The speakers’ presentations will be by members of the cultural podcast “Safreig”, who will help focus the vision from a young person’s perspective, while the moderator of the discussion will be the author of the podcast “Fvck I Place”.
Day 11 of the Quest for Excellence
The eleventh edition of the Day of Excellence will take place on October 4th and 5th at the Esterri d’Àneu in Pallars Sobirà, under the theme “Youth in the Pyrenees: an important and professional project”. The aim is to answer the question of how we can promote the emancipation, personal, social and professional development and well-being of young people in the Pyrenees.
Jornades para l’excellence is a space for reflection and a meeting point that aims to give the Pyrenees region a social, intellectual and economic impetus. It is an annual conference held in Esterri d’Àneu on a topic of topical or general interest, bringing together high-level experts and professionals who present different perspectives and offer tools and recommendations that can contribute to the prosperity of the Pyrenees.
