Delivery of works to beautify the pedestrian bridge linking Willie Bainbridge Stadium to the Papeete waterfront.

The fixed walking infrastructure is now decorated with a mural showcasing the biodiversity and culture of the Te Paruui Valley.

The project, initiated by Éliane Tevahitua and funded by 4 million francs from the state, was entrusted to Sarah Roopinia, organizer of the Ono’u Festival, and the artists Heiarii Metua (aka Rival) and Tearii Flohr, who is also the painter of the project.

During a ceremony presided over by Minister Theveni Tye, the artist and his assistant signed their work while the minister affixed the state’s emblem on it.

The work will improve a project located at the entrance to the country’s capital, so it will be seen by thousands of tourists and Polynesians every year.
