France recorded its third win in Group A on Tuesday, beating New Zealand 3-0.
Jean-Philippe Mateta’s goal put the hosts ahead in the 19th minute, before Desire Doue and Arnaud Kalimuendo scored in the 71st and 74th minutes respectively to give France a 3-0 win.
Throughout the game, France had 10 shots and New Zealand had only 1 shot.
In the quarterfinals, the hosts will face Argentina, which beat Ukraine 2-0 on Tuesday to finish second in Group B behind Morocco.
Morocco, which beat Iraq 3-0, will face the United States in the quarterfinals, which beat Guinea 3-0 in its third group match.
Spain lost 2-1 to Egypt to finish second in Group C. Ibrahim Adel scored twice for Egypt, while Samou Omorodiun pulled one back for Spain in the 90th minute.
Spain will face Japan, the leader of Group D, in the quarterfinals.
Japan beat Israel 1-0 to finish first in the group, and Paraguay beat Mali 1-0 to finish second.
