Vasily Khomin was born in 1934 in the village of Zalokot. He grew up in a religious family: one of his grandfathers was a church clerk, the other was a pharmacist at the temple. A book about Borislav describes his vivid memories of being a boy among the rebels, how he first brought them food, and then sat in an ambush. In the last years of his life, Khomin again witnessed war, this time with the rebels. Russian occupiers.

The UPA fighter’s funeral will be held on Saturday, June 8, the city council informed.
