This was announced last summer.while presenting the conclusions of the National Reconstruction Commission (CNR) on housing: Extending the Visale guarantee to other groups of people, this free rent deposit ensures that the landlord pays the rent (including fees) of his tenant’s portion in case of arrears (with a maximum of 36 monthly missed payments throughout the lease period).
Now, seasonal workers can use it.
If conditions permit, it has been extended to over 30 years old
The Visale guarantee is aimed at private tenants aged between 18 and 30, regardless of their professional status (employee, civil servant, student, trainee, etc.).
Since mid-2021, the policy has been extended, subject to conditions, to people over 30 years of age. To be eligible, they must be employed by a company in the private or agricultural sector for a maximum of six months after starting employment (CDD, temporary contract, etc.) or their net monthly salary must be a maximum of €1,500.
They are also eligible within six months of a professional transfer or if they have committed to employment for less than three months.
Regardless of age, the rent for a residence (including fees) must not exceed €1,500 in Île-de-France and €1,300 elsewhere.
If the tenant benefitsLiquidity Leasingthere were no conditions related to age or occupational status.
‘Major economic issues’
Since June 4, Visale sponsorship has been open to seasonal workers. “This adaptation responds to the significant economic challenges facing these territories,” Action Logement, the organization that issues the deposits, stressed that it supports employers in the tourism industry by facilitating access to housing for this group of members of the public who face great difficulties in finding rentals.
A device designed
However, the National Housing Information Agency (Anil) said the system was implemented to suit seasonal workers.
Therefore, landlords can receive rent arrears compensation for a shortened period of occupancy from 1 month to 9 months (36 months for other beneficiaries).
Rents may not exceed €800 per month in Île-de-France and €600 per month elsewhere (1,300 to 1,500 for other beneficiaries).
Landlords’ rental risk coverage is improved in the event of damage to the accommodation: for accommodation rented to seasonal workers, this can actually be up to three months’ rent, including one month’s worth of furniture damage (compared to two months’ rent, in addition to the security deposits of other tenants).
