MILAN – A powerful storm that hit northern Italy has caused flooding and transport problems, local media reported.
Due to heavy rains in Milan and surrounding areas, parts of Terminals 1 and 2 of Milan Malpensa Airport were flooded.
Photos of flooding at the airport were posted on social networks.
In the town of Varese, ground floors and basements of some houses were flooded and streets were covered with mud.
A severe storm and hailstorm hit Bresa and the surrounding area, damaging homes and cars.
