The Finance Committee has agreed to expedite payment of all outstanding amounts of the Finance Commissioner.
Payments to Fiscal Commissioner Courtney Williams will be retroactive to May 1, 2023, according to the attorney general’s opinion.
The committee, chaired by House Speaker Juliet Holness, met Monday afternoon to discuss the matter.
Details of the finance commissioner’s salary are not yet known.
The opposition raised concerns in the Senate last Friday that the Finance Commissioner had not been paid since his appointment last year.
