The Digicel Fiji Bura Boys will field their full squad for tomorrow’s Oceania Football Confederation Nations Cup semi-final against Vanuatu, head coach Rob Sherman has confirmed.
All 23 players are healthy and ready to play.
The squad includes several key players who were rested in the last group match against Tahiti to avoid suspension for accumulating a second yellow card.
Setareki Hughes, Mohammed Rahim, Moses Nabors and Scott Vala, who missed the match out of caution, will all return in the semi-finals.
Despite the absence of the Bulla boys, they still beat Tahiti 1-0, but the change in the lineup led to a clear change in the team’s playing style.
During the game, the team kept adapting to lineup changes and trying to find its own rhythm.
When queried by OFC media about the team’s performance against Tahiti, captain Roy Krishna clarified that the team did not take a relaxed approach but worked hard to find momentum in the lineup changes.
“The starting players performed well but they struggled to work together and communicate on the field,” Krishna explained.
With the team back to full strength, the Bulla boys will be looking to put in their best performance in the semi-final.
