Fiji Gas becomes HOTEC 2024 chef competition partner

Suva, Fiji – Tuesday, July 30, 2024: The Fiji Hotels and Tourism Association (FHTA) is delighted to announce a new partnership with Fiji Gas as a Competition Partner for the 2024 HOTEC Trade Show.

Fiji Gas’ involvement demonstrates its commitment to the growth and development of the hospitality industry in Fiji and the Pacific region. As Fiji’s largest and most trusted supplier of LPG, with over 60 years’ experience, Fiji Gas will play a key role in the Chefs Competition, which aims to enhance the skills and expertise of young chefs so they can reach their full potential.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the partnership, FHTA Chief Executive Officer, Ms Fantasha Lockington said: “We are delighted to welcome Fiji Gas as a competition partner for HOTEC 2024. Their extensive experience and commitment to quality will be invaluable in elevating the standard of our chef competitions, providing competitors with fantastic opportunities to grow and learn.”

Sharing his excitement about the partnership, Mr Sonal Reddy, National Sales and Marketing Manager of Fiji Gas said, “We are honoured to partner with HOTEC 2024 to support the development of young Fijian chefs. The Chef Competition at HOTEC 2024 is set to be a highlight, with the preliminary rounds starting in early August, where chefs from all over the country will compete, learn and improve their culinary skills, culminating in the finals at the HOTEC trade show.

“In addition to the chef competition, Fiji Gas will also be involved in various activities throughout the show, providing insights into the role of energy in the culinary world and the overall experience for attendees. This partnership is expected to enhance the event’s appeal and provide a deeper understanding of the impact of premium energy solutions on the hospitality industry.”
