Fighting impunity: COLDEFF on the brink of collapse

Reliable sources indicate that things have not been going well recently among the members of the institution responsible for fighting corruption and financial crime. According to our sources, a quarrel broke out between the two bosses. A quarrel can cause a complete split within the institution. Today, our sources add that COLDEFF is divided into two groups, two quarreling tribes. There will be a quarrel between the President’s team and the Vice President’s team. This could make the work difficult and undermine the fight against impunity. This fight against corruption has given great hope to Nigeriens who care about social justice and the future of Niger. Therefore, this situation will disappoint them. Because the work entrusted to COLDEF will be compromised by the open crisis generated between the two bosses. Therefore, it is the duty of the CNSP to take urgent action to address the most pressing needs.
