Saturday’s Guinness Bright House Fashion, Art and Music Edition on the Garden City Rooftop was an unforgettable experience!
For those lucky enough to be at the Garden City Rooftop on Saturday, the evening was nothing short of magical. The festivities kicked off around 3pm, setting the stage for an evening filled with creativity. The line-up of performances, exhibitors and masterclass creators guaranteed a feast for the senses, and boy did they deliver!
Guinness Bright Room is an immersive platform that brings together creative talent under one roof to foster interaction, collaboration and celebrate extraordinary talent. This time, they have really outdone themselves.
Imagine stepping into a creative wonderland, with artistic energy around every corner. As attendees entered the House of Light, they were immediately enveloped in a vibrant world of Guinness and creativity. The Garden City rooftop was transformed into a haven for fashion lovers, art enthusiasts and music lovers.
The fashion section was a blast, with Northern Uganda’s fashion talent Fix by Oringa wowing with her colourful designs, while Obonire showcased her stunning head scarves, not to mention the amazing pop-up exhibition by the current fashion guru, Denim Cartel.
The art space provides an unprecedented digital art experience. Art lovers can interact with digital art master Kashushu and even have the opportunity to participate in the creation of digital murals on site, immersing themselves in an artistic adventure.
In the music space, revelers took turns to join producer Axon’s booth to realize their musical dreams by creating, learning music production, melody and sampling. There were many activities and experiences.
At 17:59, the Guinness Lighthouse switched to night mode and the night reached its climax. Dancers Asset Fame, Vievo, Dance Guru Cohen, Mayani & Virginia, as well as Denesi, Akeine and Kohen Jayce made the stage lively and the audience wanted more.
After Kohen Jayce sang her hit song “Not Letting Go”, Azawi took the stage and rocked the house with her hits. She opened with “My Year” and continued with “Lo Fit”, “Repeat It”, “Quinamino”, “10 over 10”, “Slow Dancing”, “Majje” and ended with her latest single “Massavu” which had the whole crowd singing along.
However, the real highlight of the night was Denim Cartel. Not only did Denim Cartel showcase a brand new collection inspired by Guinness, but they also collaborated with a model who suffers from vitiligo. The show was a testament to the brand’s commitment to inclusivity and collaboration.
“This is what we as a brand stand for – inclusion, collaboration and celebrating those who do extraordinary things. I’m thrilled that we can do all that and more at Bright House tonight,” said Roy Tumwizere, Guinness Brand Manager.
“We want to celebrate and highlight vitiligo, a condition that many Ugandans are not familiar with. June is Vitiligo Awareness Month and it is an important moment for us at Guinness to bring attention to this disease,” he added.
To top it off, Axon used the Denim Cartel fashion show to release a new song – a collaboration between him, Guiness and some big name artists like Joshua Baraka and APass. The night ended with a live performance by DJ Sesse, who treated the revelers to some great music.
