Experts emphasize efficiency and advantages of nuclear power plants

Experts participating in the public discussion focused more on the safety of nuclear power plants. According to them, in the past 67 years, such devices have had accidents and their work results have not been satisfactory.

Yerlan Batyrbekov, Director of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

— The nuclear power plant will have 2 cycles, 2 circuits. The first circuit will cool the reactor only. For this purpose, water will not be taken from Balkhash or anywhere else. Because the specially formulated water should be clean and have its own chemical balance. The second circuit responds to steam. It is this steam that emits light. The water produced by the hammer can only be used for cooling towers. But it accounts for only 0.33% of the annual sea vapor.

The issue has been discussed in 18 regions of the country. Two months ago, the president announced that a referendum would be held this fall. But the exact date will be decided by the Kazakh government.
