Tazabek – Excise taxes on non-alcoholic energy drink manufacturers in Kyrgyzstan have increased 2.4 times since the beginning of the year, according to the Ministry of Finance’s monthly report.
The Republican budget received a total of 290.7 million soms in excise taxes on non-alcoholic energy drinks from January to May 2024. Excise tax revenues in the same period last year amounted to 123.6 million soms.
In addition, the excise tax on energy imported from the Eurasian Economic Union countries also increased by 2.4 times to 148.1 million soms.
From January to May 2024, energy drinks imported from countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union supplemented the state budget by 26 million som in the form of excise taxes.
