EVismo says suspension of primaries approved by “traitors” and “remnants of coup”

Leonardo Losa, Senator from EvistaAccompanied by some leaders of the Tropical Region of Cochabamba, on Thursday believed that the suspension of the primary was approved by “traitors” led by President Luis Arce and some “remnants of the coup”.

“Traitors to our process of change, Our political instrument, headed by Mr. Lucho Arce, in collusion with some remnants of the coup d’état, which are still in Parliament, has decided to approve the suspension of the primaries,” he said.

Wednesday, Senate approves law to suspend primaries On July 10, the Supreme Electoral Tribunal met to reach a political agreement aimed at consolidating the 2025 general elections and giving priority to judicial elections this year.

However, Losa assured that this decision is “attacking” the internal democracy of political organizations.

“Those who are accusing us of making a mistake at the MAS and the boss just deciding, today they don’t want our country’s political organisations to accept internal elections,” he said.

Moreover, he believes that through this so-called “agreement”, the right wing and the Arce government “continue to dream” of the possible removal of former President Evo Morales.
“But these types of threatening laws will not affect the candidacy of Evo Morales, who continue to be eligible to be MAS candidates,” he pointed out.
