Euro 2024: Spain beats France to reach final

[ad_1]

Spanish Red vs French Blue. In Munich, Spain and France will fight for the first final ticket of the European Football Championship. The Espanyol team looked battered from the start: they missed Pedri with a knee injury, defender Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid), probably the best right-back in world football, and Robin Le Normand was suspended. France will go all out. Spain is the deserved winner. France stepped up and challenged. They had their chances, but they missed them and in the end Spain won 2-1 and reached the final.

Randal Kolo Muani scored France’s first real goal of the tournament less than ten minutes into the game at the Allianza Arena.

France scored the first goal of the 2024 European Championship, which was not a penalty or an own goal.

Kylian Mbappe delivered a perfect cross and Randall Kolo Muani evaded Aymeric Laporte and headed into the top corner.

Spain took the lead after four minutes. And within the first half hour.

Spanish prodigy Lamine Yamal became the first 16-year-old to score at the European Championships and eventually led his team to the semi-finals.

The Barcelona star fired a stunning turning shot from outside the box that went over the goalkeeper’s gloves and into the top corner.

This was definitely a stroke of genius from Ramin Yamal. He shot from 25 meters away at 202 km/h. Half of the Banco de España came to celebrate with him. This was his third goal for his national team.

Lamine Yamal (16 years, 362 days) became the youngest goalscorer in a European Championship or World Cup, a record previously held by Brazilian star Pele (17 years, 239 days, in the 1958 World Cup match against Wales).

Dani Olmo picked up the ball on the edge of the box, slid it past Aurelien Tchouameni and fired it into the bottom corner. It beat goalkeeper Mike Maignan and Jules Koundé steered it over the line. Spain 2-1.

Before the break:
Lamine Yamal is the youngest player and goal scorer at the European Championship (16 years old); the youngest player and goal scorer for the Spanish team (16 years old) and the youngest player and goal scorer for Barcelona (16 years old).

The French were the better team in the dressing room, while the Spaniards were in no hurry. Deschamps brought in players: Eduardo Camavinga, Antoine Griezmann, Bradley Baquera and Olivier Giroud, who had to turn the game around in the last twenty minutes.

Lamine Yamal, who had done little in the second half, almost sealed the game. He cut in from the right wing and curled a shot 20 yards to the right of the top corner. The French goalkeeper was stunned.

Bradley Balotelli then sent Kylian Mbappe over from the left. The Real Madrid player stepped in and fired his shot over the crossbar from twenty meters. It was a chance he has successfully converted often in his career.

What was impressive about Spain was that they were no longer reliant on Tikitaka to keep the ball. They had incredible pace on the flanks, were threatening from set pieces and crosses, and some poor passes that put several opponents out were simply glorious. Combined with their team depth, they were very strong.

The Spaniards will face either England or the Netherlands in the final.
