The head of the presidential office, Andrei Ermak, drew attention to the return of Russian soprano Anna Netrebko to the stage of the Rome Opera House.

Anna Netrebko
We are talking about a cultural figure, he recalled, who in 2012 was a confidant of the dictator Vladimir Putin in his election, who in 2014 came to Donetsk and raised the flag of the so-called “New Russia”.
In other words, Elmak stressed, Netrebko was a “servant of the regime” and now she has suddenly returned to the European stage.
“It is very important now that Russian figures have no chance to earn money in the civilized world and continue to bring Russian culture to Europe and the West, while Russia is killing our people, kidnapping children and killing them with missiles. She and others like her will not perform in Europe, the only thing now is the opera in Moscow, I urge all contacts and our allies to react,” Ermak wrote in the cable.
Let us remind you that the portal “Commentary” talked about the scandal surrounding Netrebko, happened last year in Germany. In particular, all Ukrainian artists canceled their performances at the Wiesbaden International May Festival due to the performance plans of the Russian Netrebko. The organizers did not want to change the plans and leave the Russian singer. Festival director Uwe Erik Laufenberg called the cancellation of the Ukrainian performances “moral hysteria” and blamed it on Ukrainian politicians, who allegedly forced the musicians to cancel their festival visits. Meanwhile, conductor Nikolai Dyadyura criticized the festival director’s statement and pointed out that it was a choice for the musicians to rehearse without electricity and heating because of the crackdown on Ukraine by Russia.
