This year, the global celebration of “International Youth Day” is named differently to accommodate the digital boom brought about by modern technology, focusing on the digital empowerment of youth and its impact on achieving at least 70% of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, reducing the cost of achieving these goals by up to $5.5 trillion.
The digital empowerment of youth is an important part of the UAE’s sustainable development vision, as young people are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet future challenges and lead change towards a more prosperous and developed society. Transformation and innovation are its strategic priorities and it is committed to promoting an integrated digital environment that helps support the knowledge economy and stimulate innovation.
