Thailand’s special scene has won the hearts of people all over the world.
After 41 years in captivity, Mare Noi, the elephant, finally feels free.
A video circulating on social networks shows her taking her first steps without chains after more than four decades of slavery.
Elephants are renowned for their gentleness and intelligence, which makes the abuse these majestic creatures endure all the more shocking.
Fortunately, Marenoy is no longer part of that sad story.
Aaron Jackson, who has worked tirelessly to save elephants, documented the experience.
In the video, Jackson shows the elephant happily walking along the road, free from the chains that had bound her for so long.
“She is free now. Mare Noi is now finally enjoying the life she deserves: freedom and happiness. This emotional moment reminds us of the importance of fighting for animal rights and freedom,” Jackson said in the video, according to Index.
@Planting Peace Look at Mare Noi walking without chains as a free elephant for the first time in 41 years. She was walking very fast. I could tell she had a spring in her step. She had been used as a logging and breeding elephant her whole life. She had been waiting for this day for a long time. She will have 500 acres of land to roam freely at the Boon Lott Elephant Sanctuary. It’s an amazing organization. I know she will be very happy there. -Aaron #bles #boonlottery #PlantingPeace #FloridaStateUniversity #rescue #elephantrescue #Thailand #gaytiktok #Nonprofit #elephant You can follow Bles here… @Katherine Connor ♬ Original Soundtrack- Aaron Jackson
