Electronic payments have yet to eliminate cash payments at government gas stations

A source at the commercial bank confirmed that the electronic payment option does not eliminate the possibility for citizens to pay for petrol allocated to their vehicles with cash.
Sources said that the implementation of this plan is in line with the government’s trend of increasing the popularity of electronic payments, aiming to ease the burden on citizens and facilitate payments.
The Commercial Bank of Syria announced the installation of point-of-sale (POS) devices at all government stations belonging to a fuel company in each governorate.
